El futuro de la odontología restaurativa, en una maquina. | Jesus González | TEDxNaguanagua

[Applause]

first of all very good afternoon and

thanks to the organization for the

invitation to me is a theme for me

which unidentified for a long time

what is health specifically health

world has had great advances

thanks to the technology raid

in the last decades but it turns out to be

how unfortunately these benefits do not

have been distributed equally in

all areas of health and in the case

of restorative dentistry that is the

theme that I come to play today

technology has perhaps become a

barrier due to certain characteristics

how are the high costs oo how difficult

of accessibility for it has

with this sad reality that

much of the world including in the

cities where they are usually

named for being perhaps rectors of

the high technologies all the

manufacturing procedures

prostheses are handcrafted this is

they involve a lot of material

makes it totally dependent on a

very specialized hand and in some of

very specific cases are needed

up to more than three or four appointments for

development of a single device

prosthetic or even is even worse

they need more than three people to

be able to manufacture a prosthesis

that’s something that might seem

inconceivable and it is something that also

many people do not know when

we are not in this medium

but it turns out that it has a

repercussion not very good so much for the

investment in time as for costs

based on this problem in a team of

Venezuelans , which I feel very

proud to say he caught it confuse

a company that has a mission which

is to create a technology capable of power

design and manufacture dental prostheses with

anatomic hyperrealism with

highly functional features and

aesthetics in the dental office

in ten minutes

and yes

the intervention of the human hand tends

maybe a little bit complex but it turns out

be that the concept was relatively

simple

basically we rely on

multiple technologies that had something

what to give to us according to

our requirements as is the case

of mechatronics as is the case

also of photogrammetry among others

and parallel to that

we were also developing one of

the largest digital data libraries

that can be achieved today in the world

of dental anatomical structures and

prosthetic grounds to merge the

two and so we can establish

our four main pillars that

it’s artificial intelligence

3d printing nanotechnology and

robotic as such

our technology has a scanner

intraoral capable of capturing images in

high definition which are sent

to our restorative software is

guided by an artificial intelligence

able to design and manufacture supporting

in 3d printing

dental prostheses according to

specific requirements of the patient

as such

and something very important also supported the

nanotechnology we were able to manufacture the

materials according to the requirements

dentistry at present in all

these entrepreneurial processes of

creation and generation of new ideas

begins perhaps with some uncertainty

It also starts with a briefcase full of

ideas but with work

we can achieve all that

we want is not so easy maybe say it

well but I assure you that if you

they manage to diagnose some kind of

problem and have an idea for

fix it as long as you guys

vessel in leaning on some kind of

resources you can be able to

break the paradigms of science

that always poses certain barriers and

in that way

Maybe you could contribute

something to the human species

many thanks
