00:00:14discovered a wounded gemsbok that may

00:00:16have escaped from a lion its weak but

00:00:19something tells them they’re still out

00:00:22of their league

00:00:27they’re intrigued but they don’t know

00:00:30what to do its horns could be lethal

00:00:33it’s too big even for their mother to

00:00:36tackle eventually their curiosity

00:00:44satisfied a he their mother and leave

00:00:47the gemsbok to its fate young male

00:00:52cheetahs like these often team up

00:00:55where’s female cheetahs live solitary

00:01:34they’ve caught a cap but they’re about

00:01:37to find out that like their own mother

00:01:40the calf’s mother is fierce when her

00:01:42offspring are threatened

00:01:54she’s desperate to free her youngster

00:01:56from the cheetahs strangling bite

00:02:07the calves seems none the worse for its

00:02:09adventure

00:02:13and its mother turned to retention again

00:02:17to the Cheetahs

00:02:22the CAF had a lucky escape but the

00:02:25cheetahs have been fortunate as well

00:02:27gemsbok horns are deadly weapons the cow

00:02:31could so easily have killed them when

00:02:37the cheetah cubs are about 18 months old

00:02:40they’re old enough to leave their mother

00:02:42and to seek their own fortunes once they

00:02:46go she may never see them again
