Yoideles … Yoideles … Yodeley-delie-oy
The whole world knows I’m a peasant girl
has arrived in town recently …
I know what to do, I’m not very popular
Iodeley, I sing to you again.
Even to lag, I say to my classmates
I do not have branded clothes, wow
Do not quit!
Ardeal, Ardeal show (for example, Ardil is an alternative name for Transylvania) “
It may seem odd,
but I never wanted to be a singer.
I would love to be a tourist guide
or maybe I’d like to be a psychologist,
even a doctor, although I’m afraid of the blood.
But apparently the universe had a completely different plan for me.
My mother sang in people at the Philharmonic in Cluj Napoca.
My father sang in the opera in the same city as a tenor.
She is now a professor of singing at a high school in Cluj Napoca.
My grandmother was a lecturer at the Oradea Music School,
and my grandfather was director of the Oradea High School of Music and Conductor.
I had no chance, did I?
My first appearance on stage was at the age of five,
when I played the role of Dolores,
the son of Cho-Cho-San from the Madame Butterfly Opera.
My only task in this opera was to play with a small wooden boat,
while my mother, Cho-Cho-San, was making harks behind me.
I do not want to explain to you what the Harakir means.
And when I say I did not have anything to sing in this role,
I say it with the greatest relief,
because nobody wanted it and wanted it.
I was speechless and suffered from dysphonia,
which means my vocal cords did not come together.
They called me the “hoarse duckling.”
However, filled with hope,
my parents wanted to follow the tradition of our family
and took me to a first class musical school,
to study piano.
I had to go through some skill tests
I did not do it well, but I overcame them.
And I studied piano for four years,
then I gave up because I did not like it.
I did not like musical theory, even repeating class.
And in the fourth grade I decided to start singing, to use my voice.
I thought I would have more success.
Obviously, I did not have one! In the beginning.
I started taking singing lessons,
to go there a week, to study with my father who teaches the same.
I also learned with many of my classmates.
So began my passion for singing.
I participated for about 5 years at Romania’s festivals for children
and every time my success was expressed in that,
that the jury was coming to me and saying, “Refuse!”
Or: “Try with a theater, let me know … Dancing!”
And yet I did not surrender, obviously!
I stumbled and tried to find something of my own,
to introduce me,
to give me awards.
And one day I discovered the technique of “iodelling”.
“Jodelling” is a kind of music,
coming from Switzerland, Austria, Germany … From this end …
And it came out when the shepherds from the hills
they tried to call the sheep from the other hill and they did
“Yodelay, Yodelay, Yodelehu
and the sheep came.
I wanted to learn this technique,
not to call my sheep, but to sing,
regardless of the name of Bachila, which comes from bachi (shepherds)
and in turn means that someone was a shepherd in my family.
I skip all this. I started studying “iodelling.”
I began to repeat the style at home and my father who washed the dishes,
he dropped the water harder so he could not hear me.
And so until one day, instead of increasing the water from the tap,
he let it go slower, because it sounded like something sounded good.
A few days later I went to a singing lesson and said,
“Dad, hear what I will sing you!”
And I sang a country with ioding. We both stayed …
Because even I could not believe it sounded so good.
At the next contest I participated in, I received a first prize,
and for the first time people came to me and they were telling me
“Wow, how talented you are!” What ?!
So in the years to come I was just taking “iodelling” and so on,
until I was bored and told myself I was going to do something else,
but with “iodine” again. I did not want to give up this style.
I was thinking of composing myself, a play with “iodelling” in Romanian.
It was impossible for me
because they had abandoned music in the fourth grade
and I did not have a hobby of composing.
So I challenged various Romanian composers,
some of whom said, “What’s this?”,
others said, “I do not like it.”
Others just said “No!”.
In 2013, I won a festival in Buile Herculane,
where the jury included Mihai Truistariu, Doina Morosanu and many others,
including a very sympathetic composer from Vaclav.
Moldovan, yes.
This Moldovan was famous for his compositions – folk,
fun and so on.
I said to myself: “Come on, try my luck with him.”
It was the only one I had never tried before.
So, finally, I told him … They called him “Blow”
Finally I asked him:
“Boil, will you write me a play with” iodling “and he said,” Yes! “
So I started to think of some forms of “iodling”
for the chorus of the play and to think how it will sound.
The aim was to present it at a festival,
at the biggest children’s festival in Romania,
the Mummy of the Children, which would take place after 6 months.
So at that time I kept repeating
and woke up three weeks before the preselection of the festival,
realizing that I have no play.
The boom did not answer the phone. It could not be found
and I gave up my idea.
So one night my father wrote politely to him:
“We’re sorry, we’re done with the co-operation, it did not work, it’s!”
And after one hour he called to his feet:
“No, Mr. Bachila, I am very pleased with you, it is good, do not let go!
Do not, now I’ve found it! “
“What did you find, Boil?”
“I found … that … I did not know what text to put on the play … I did not know.
But now that I talked to a friend of mine
and he asked me, “Why is she the girl?” “Who is it?”
And I said, “From Ardil,” he said, “Do something with” But! “(But” But “is” no “in Ardil)
That is how the story about the “Ardeal show” begins.
The Ardeal Show is a play that presents the rural girl,
arrived in town,
who tries to dress stylishly, to wear shoes with electricity,
to walk around, waving a smartphone.
Boast surprise me a lot in this play,
because I could barely walk on heights of 3 cm high,
He tortured me to speak in Ardelean.
I took part in Mama’s Children,
I received the first prize
and since then I have been singing this play everywhere I can.
Every time I have success. Everybody is happy.
That is, “but” in Ardeal: when they are happy, rejoice and you do not cry.
The play did not reach the big televisions or the radio,
but I was touched by many children and teenagers in Romania.
Facebook has over 2 million views and over 50,000 shares
and comments: “Ha! Ha! Ha!”.
Soon, I made a new suggestion of Bullets
to make a second part of the “Ardeal show”.
If everyone touches these real-life stories,
why not make our true story:
how I recently live in Bucharest and try to move
to the light at the end of the tunnel of the Romanian music industry.
I tell you, the light is far away.
So in the third part of the “Ardeal show”
to find out if I have succeeded.
Thanks!
Wait! Wait! Can you sing something to us?
What should I sing? “Ardeal show”, right?
I will sing two verses to you.
“And the life of a village is beautiful,
yoy, but tilai, God, but!
Now the mowing hair passes to the reading book,
Yodelay, at school, but!
Now in town they say they have to be a coquettish.
And I do not know what that, zou!
At the disco, and on the street on the sidewalk,
Yodelay is beauty, but! “
Thanks!
