What so everyone else has to see this.
I have just ordered a hundred and fifty meters of Chinese fireworks lunte, so in this video
We will have fun with it. But because fireworks fuse lugs are technically pyrotechnic
I have driven away most things that are flammable, and now the fire safety protocols are in place.
But here is the reason behind this experiment. This particular one is three millimeters
and it is specially designed to burn an inch in about one and a half to two seconds.
But after a while when I had played with those lunks, it made me think,
What would happen if we tried to make them thicker? so to help me with the challenge today
I bring back the rope-lowering machine as we did in a previous project, so we can turn ourselves a very thick and very dangerous
pyrotechnic rope. Now, you can all remember how the rope drain machine works,
we take a piece of string and we thread it back and forth around the turning hooks,
but instead of using a string for this one
we will use the fireworks luncheon.
And I think we probably have enough to get around three to four strings per. hook that gives a total of twelve,
which should give us a rope that is about three and a half centimeters thick. Okay
then let’s round the gel and make the machine ready.
Okay fast update everyone. I have threaded the machine with our fireworks lunte
and I thought we would get about three to four fireworks lunter per. hook
We ended up getting seven per. hook that gives us a total of twenty-one loops that come with our ropes
which is totally crazy!
This means that this rope will be close to six and a half centimeters thick, which is twice as big and certainly a lot
more powerful than I had thought. You can look at the ends over here
I have taken some small electrical tape and tied all the lines together to hold them tight, pulled them into one
swivel hook
and now all we have to do is take our drill and hook it to the back and when we press the button
would we like to see our rope sno detselv. Let’s make some ropes
It’s pretty cool. Okay, you can see a lot of excitement that gets tied into those strings right now
They are not so close, but if we start to make it happen
so it does at least make a pretty cool fireworks rope rope.
It is beautiful.
It does not quite matter to myself, I need to make small adjustments because it is not as smooth as if you use a string but you can see
that it works.
It’s a rope.
A pair of ropes.
then it is there.
It’s cool, see it!
It ended quite well. I bet it’s strong enough to climb it.
Okay, so I’m going to release some of the excitement here, let’s see it turning around. Hov, it does not turn around, okay.
just pull it close for a second and then see if there is any voltage left, okay
so it behaves slightly differently from the ropes made of string. Not as much excitement in it.
It could have been a little cleaner.
Just look at it all, we’ve done it.
We have taken twenty-one strings of fireworks lunte and tied them together
to make a real fireworks rope rope. And this is strong.
It is very strong. That’s something that you can actually throw over the side on a cliff and rappel down
I’m pretty sure it can keep your weight with no problems. The coolest thing is that when you get to the bottom
then you could fire it and then the whole rope would disappear. I’m not sure what purpose
It would give unless you ran from pirates and tried to burn your tracks
but here you have it, a fireworks rope rope we’re going to test and test.
It is cool. It actually works like a rope.
I just came outside
and I tied the rope firmly to my basketball goal and lifted it up in the air because I know some of you
want to know how durable this rope is. Is it strong enough to hold my body weight?
So I’m going to turn it on for you right now.
No problem
As you can see, the rope is very durable.
It is not super nice to hold hands but what rope it is. Let’s set fire to it.
Just for fun, I collected all the remains from the packed package and put it down in this glass, we will burn them first.
I’m just going to turn on one of these lights and then we’ll see what happens. see it now.
That was fast.
Haha, that was so cool. Oh my God. That was cool. So the lunters started much faster than expected
It burned very very quickly and so when it reached down there just went all the way
In outbreaks and all these little pieces of lunte flew up and rained down the area. That was pretty cool.
What has the robe meant to do? let’s find out.
This is my throwing table I used for the Batarang video
I have the rope hanging down to simulate if we were going beyond a cliff. If we leave the bottom and everything
the heat come up how much difference would it make so low? let’s put it on fire and figure it out.
Wow
Oh my God.
It got very fast hot. It got hot
so fast it was so hot I could feel the heat from about ten meters away and just see my throwing table here
It’s completely charred along the forefront if you look down on the ground you can hear pieces of lunte that are still sizzling and popping.
it went really fast.
Absolutely incredible I’m blown away.
It was much faster than a half to two seconds per. inch do not you want to say? I think
I think the whole thing was gone in about four seconds. I can not wait to see the slow-mo on it.
Oh my god seen the high speed all you can see is this burning yellow ball
which moves upwards. There was a huge amount of heat.
I think I was about 10 meters away and I could feel the heat that radiated, see I sweat
I think it’s hot outside here
but I sweat because of the flame. I think I knew we were hanging down so the heat could wander up
but it still blows me away how fast it burned! once it had taken off, it was gone in a few seconds
Exploding pieces of debris and small pieces of lunte raining down from the sky.
absolutely amazing.
That was exactly what I meant. I feel satisfied. That was enough for today.
So you have it all an epic day experimenting with what might be the world’s most pyrotechnic rope.
I’m glad no one was hurt today. Thank you for joining me in this experiment, see you next. Speak by there.
So, now.
Ah fake alarm let me hit it again.
Tough!
Okay, I’m going to flip my head
Yep, that’s quite durable I would say.
