Today we are going to look at how you make your own laser show that perfectly synchronizes with the music
It is a simple project that you can carry out with easily available items and an afternoon time. All materials
that we need are: a number 10 can, normal balloons, some small mirrors
or one larger mirror that you can cut into smaller pieces, double-sided tape and a laser pointer.
Now that we have all the materials, we can start.
First, we have to remove the top and bottom of our tin so that we have a metal cylinder left. This can is full of rice
So I cut off the lid and pour the contents into a container for later use
And then I cut off the bottom
March 21, 1996. I do not know if that is the packaging date or the expiration date
Probably the packaging date. I do not think it can expire.
It is rice
Now that the top and bottom of the can are off, we can stretch a balloon over the top of the can.
First we blow the balloon as far as possible
Now that the balloon is stretched we can easily fit the balloon over the can. We want to cut it off
about half of the balloon, not on the widest part, but just above it
Drawing the balloon over the can is much easier if you have an extra pair of hands at your disposal
Now that the balloon is stretched over the can, we use a little tape so that the edge does not come off the can
If it was your goal to make a small drum, congratulations! You are done
But we are trying to make a laser show
So we are not quite there yet. The next step is to stick a mirror of 2.5 square centimeters on the balloon
Most mirrors are made of glass and difficult to cut. But this mirror is made of plastic
to be used in the bathroom. I think of protection if the mirror falls
Because the mirror is made of plastic, we are going to try to cut out a piece
The fact that it breaks gives me an idea
I’m going to try to make a cut with a knife and try to break it over that line instead of using a saw
Even though that worked too
Okay, here we go
Huh, at least it broke
Just not where I thought it would break
Here we go
I’m now going to try and clamp it in the vise and see if that helps me to get straight to break by
That is what we want. I now use some sandpaper to make the edges more clean
Here it is. Our square piece of mirror
Now we will only attach it to the balloon with some double-sided tape
Press from the inside to make sure that it is properly secured
Now we know that it will stick, no problem
With the mirror glued, we have a basis for what we will use for our laser show
We are going to put this can in front of a speaker and the sound waves coming out of the speaker touch the rubber
which causes it to vibrate. The laser pointer will shine on the mirror and
reflect on the wall. Because the latex vibrates with the music, the pattern on the wall will look like a kind of spirograph
pattern moving on the vibrations of the music
First we take a piece of tape to stick the button of the laser pointer so that it stays on
There are several ways to focus a laser pointer on your mirror, but because I already had rice,
I tipped rice into a plate. So I will use rice to direct my laser pointer on the mirror
We know that the setup works, let’s try with music
Hah, that’s nice
Our laser show works fine
But we want to take it to the next level so here is a smoke machine and we also do a number
lights off. Let’s see if this works

This is fun

Quick update, we have a few upgrades
We have an extra look for another speaker
Instead of one small laser we had first, we have this bright green laser,
we have this purple laser
and we also have this extremely strong blue-green laser.
[AHH !! MY EYES!! HELP!]
We are now going to focus all three lasers on the mirrors on the wall, then we turn on the music
Ow, I burned a few small holes in my balloon with my huge laser
Let’s turn on the music before there is more error

Here we go
Now you know how to change a number 10 can, a balloon and a mirror in a laser show
You can order surprisingly cheap lasers online. We have placed a number of links in the description where you can buy lasers yourself
Thank you for looking at this project today and we look forward to the next one. We will see you again
That smells weird …
Man … That blue laser is.
I missed the mirror, a little bit, but while I was preparing it
and it immediately melted a hole in the balloon. I have four small holes
I think that has also affected the sound waves
because air could pass through, so the mirror stopped vibrating considerably
YOU! The person who just watched this video until the end
You are the reason why we work so hard to make these videos. It’s the people like you
Thank you very much for giving us so much. As long as you keep watching the videos, we will continue to make more
