How To – prepare the catherine wheel sausage from 30-Minute Meals

00:00:07and I’m going to show you how to make a

00:00:08cat food meal sausage so I’ve got two

00:00:10packets of sausages all linked up here

00:00:12and in front of me I’ve got a large

00:00:14sheet of greaseproof paper which i’ve

00:00:16just won under the tap dampened and then

00:00:19scrunched up and i’ve just flattened it

00:00:21out now what we do just get my sausages

00:00:26just basically you want to unlink them

00:00:30you want to keep keep it as one big

00:00:32string but you want to gently unravel it

00:00:35and push the meat down so it basically

00:00:38one almost like one big sausage it’d be

00:00:40really careful because you can get some

00:00:42tears in the skin but work your way down

00:00:46gently unravel it and push them together

00:00:52and if you massage the sausages it’ll

00:00:54help it along to keep going all the way

00:00:59there you go and don’t work out being

00:01:02too perfect the impression is just one

00:01:05big long sausage is a place to

00:01:07individual ones and again and then start

00:01:13one end you want to coil the sausage

00:01:16like a Catherine Wheel so start by

00:01:19folding in and very gently just ease the

00:01:22unlink sausage around middle keep going

00:01:33as she go if you feel any sort of uneven

00:01:36bits just push them in like that give it

00:01:42a little push down and then he wants to

00:01:44do the same again with the other pack so

00:01:48unravel your sausages let’s just squeeze

00:01:51it all together so it’s pretty even you

00:01:54want it to cook at the same same time

00:01:57not be one the middle and then just

00:02:00almost pretend it’s linked on to the

00:02:01last link of sausages and just carry on

00:02:05with your caffeine wheel all it all the

00:02:08way around like so flatten it out a

00:02:14little bit then what wants to do now is

00:02:20get two skewers after which have been

00:02:23soaked in water to stop them from

00:02:24burning and we’re going to skew the

00:02:26sausage like that and I’ll keep it all

00:02:30in place when you pop it under the grill

00:02:31so just very gently almost keep your

00:02:34hand on top of the sausage just put it

00:02:37to the side ease it all the way through

00:02:42your way home like so and then same

00:02:48again first side and there you have it

00:02:55Catherine Wheel sausage I’m gonna put

00:02:56this under the grill for 10 minutes on

00:02:57full whack be gorgeous and crispy
