00:00:04hi I’m Georgie from Jamie’s food team
00:00:06and I’m going to show you how to skewer
00:00:08chicken as she can see your chicken
00:00:10breasts when laid out flat has got a
00:00:12slightly fatter
00:00:13top much pressure there and thinner not
00:00:17so much meat at the bottom what you want
00:00:19to do is lay your chicken breasts out so
00:00:21they sort of topping and tailing so
00:00:23backed up here thin same again the same
00:00:29again so you’ve always got a really even
00:00:32shape just there push them together
00:00:33slightly I’m not going to do is get four
00:00:36wooden skewers which I’ve been soaked in
00:00:38water and the reason is you want them to
00:00:40and clamp up and soak so they don’t
00:00:43burnt as soon as they hit the heats
00:00:45whether it’s a pan or an oven they won’t
00:00:46set on fire so make sure they’ve been
00:00:48soaking for at least 5-10 minutes and
00:00:50lay your skewers on the top of your
00:00:53flattened chicken breasts as a guide of
00:00:56where you’re going to secure them give
00:00:58them some even spacing like that and
00:01:01then start the first one skewer through
00:01:04all four chicken breasts making sure you
00:01:06go through the middle like that push
00:01:13them out again you want to keep them
00:01:16quite even the same again this is a
00:01:21great method and you could do this with
00:01:22pork as well get some pork Phillips and
00:01:26lay them out all four of them and do the
00:01:29same thing the skewers it’s just a
00:01:31really even way of making chicken kebabs
00:01:36and for the final one
00:01:48makes a flatten your breasts out again
00:01:51make sure they’re not too scrunched up
00:01:53together and then use your knife to cut
00:01:57along the length of the skewer see have
00:02:00four kabobs
00:02:05cut all the way down
00:02:15and again and they have a really great
00:02:19and easy way of skewing chicken
