00:00:14video I’m going to answer question from
00:00:15what our readers jockey who asked what
00:00:17do you think are the most important
00:00:19personality traits in successful
00:00:20entrepreneurs so I get asked this
00:00:23question a lot and my answer isn’t
00:00:25normal i guess most people think to be a
00:00:28successful entrepreneur you have to be
00:00:29really good at sales you have to be a
00:00:31super genius and I’ve done really well
00:00:33at school we have to have had a lot of
00:00:34money if being the right family it’s
00:00:36really good at networking if you really
00:00:38good people and in fact is if you look
00:00:41at social entrepreneurs and how they got
00:00:43started I’ve done a ton of research on
00:00:44this most of those aren’t true like some
00:00:47of them are really good at sales some of
00:00:48them are some of the really genius
00:00:50inventors and a lot of them are and a
00:00:53lot of you feel that at school it didn’t
00:00:54do well and so I wouldn’t attach any
00:00:57kind of worried to that if you’re not
00:00:59really good at sales you don’t think
00:01:00you’re a genius inventor you can still
00:01:02have a lot of success as an entrepreneur
00:01:04what I’ve seen be successful and what
00:01:08works are three main things that every
00:01:10entrepreneur has gone through that I’ve
00:01:11notice the first is that you got started
00:01:14and a lot of people think they have the
00:01:16next great idea they wanted to be an
00:01:18entrepreneur but they don’t do anything
00:01:19about it right and you have to take that
00:01:22leap you have to get that jump you have
00:01:24to get started if you want to be an
00:01:26entrepreneur even if it’s part-time
00:01:28small scale whatever you’re taking small
00:01:30steps to move your business forward and
00:01:32every entrepreneur did that they
00:01:34overcame the fear the overcame whatever
00:01:36pressure is the social pressures or
00:01:38family pressures were on them at the
00:01:39time and they got their business started
00:01:42that’s step one step two is you have to
00:01:45really have a passion for what you’re
00:01:47doing and if you look at any successful
00:01:49entrepreneur you’ll see that they really
00:01:50cared about what they were doing and
00:01:52they were so super excited and
00:01:54passionate about it and that passion
00:01:55help drive them towards building a
00:01:57successful company
00:01:58the ones who do it just for the money
00:02:00trying to get rich usually don’t so make
00:02:03sure that whatever you’re doing you can
00:02:04have a lot of value to it it really
00:02:06excites you it gets your day going and
00:02:08you want to just really go up and build
00:02:09a successful company because you love
00:02:11what you’re doing day in day out and
00:02:13step three is they stuck with it it
00:02:16rarely works the first time you make so
00:02:19many mistakes what you think is going to
00:02:21happen doesn’t happen people you know
00:02:23give you the wrong answer and it’s a lot
00:02:26harder to start a business than most
00:02:28people think right you have a lot of
00:02:29enthusiasm energy at the beginning and
00:02:30you have to have that passion to help
00:02:32guide you through all the roadblocks
00:02:33that you get a face but successful
00:02:35entrepreneurs push through all those
00:02:37roadblocks broke down all the brick
00:02:39walls until they were able to achieve
00:02:41that success you have to have that
00:02:43motivation to want to keep on going so
00:02:47for entrepreneurs again my three tips
00:02:49one get started you got to have that
00:02:51drive to want to actually launch your
00:02:54business to make sure you’re super
00:02:55passionate about it and then three you
00:02:58have to have the persistence and keep
00:02:59going until you become success I hope
