Black is a gift, a manifestation

And I’m black …

Black is not a choice, black is not an option

Black is a gift, a manifestation

And I’m black …

And I’m black …

My color is black

My root … black

My voice is black

And my grandmother … black

My color is black

My root …

To be, it has to be born black.
