You’re a fool.
I’m not.
You are mediocre.
I’m not.
You are an opportunist.
You can not. You’re a woman.
You are afraid, prejudiced and obsessed.
I do not have it.
How many times people, things, situations make us believe that we can not,
they make us think that we can not break any paradigm, that we can not change.
And that limits us.
Even that people, things, situations and circumstances limit us
and they make us believe that we can not.
Bitterness, frustration and mediocrity,
they limit us.
All that makes us build ourselves a series
of fears and we do not want to get ahead.
The statistics say that 63 of every 100 women
they suffer from some intimidation.
25 out of 100 men suffer violence.
One person dies every 40 seconds, as a result of gender violence.
These statistics let us see something alarming, something worrying,
of how those situations that we go through every day and that are adverse
they come to limit us, they come to make us believe that we can not.
And we end up becoming the puppets of thoughts, ideas
from other persons.
And also of what we ourselves are building.
Why do I tell you this?
A long time ago I met a person.
That person became my dream come true,
in my complement.
In that person I felt that I would find the answer to that emptiness that I felt.
But the paradox of life is that that person would not be
neither my complement nor my answer.
It turns out that where I would find that wealth as a person,
that realization as a human being, that happiness, that desire to get ahead,
It would be in the noblest profession that I dreamed of doing since I was a child.
My passion to teach
On the one hand, he endured the most adverse situations
that a person can suffer.
But, on the other, he would receive the joy of being able to create, to be able to design,
to be able to study hard, to be able to get the experience
that allowed me to do my job well, not halfway.
Not just for hanging out, but really giving my heart in my work,
to my students.
But, life would give me an impressive satisfaction.
I would arrive that person who would become the engine of my day to day,
the one that really changed my life and gave it a 180 degree turn:
my beautiful daughter.
But life would put me at a crossroads
and I would question what I was doing with her,
what I was teaching my most important student: my daughter.
Suddenly, I receive an excellent news that ended up opening my eyes.
A news that gave me the strength to get ahead of these adversities
why I was going through
I received the incredible news of being creditor to the recognition
that the network of Jewish schools gives to innovation and educational excellence.
For me it was not just a prize.
For me it was the opportunity that gave me life to start over.
The opportunity that life gave me to break with those fears,
to remove those labels, to recognize myself as a valuable person,
a human being who can achieve everything.
This person with whom I did not find answers,
with which I definitely would not find a future of life
it would end up becoming a great lesson,
in a lesson that would allow me to recognize myself as a capable person,
as a person who is responsible for their well-being, but,
above all, because life questioned me “what are you going to teach your daughter?”
I want her to learn from me an example of life that makes her happy,
a woman sure of herself.
Why do I tell you all this?
Because I want you to recognize yourself as the only capable person
to achieve anything.
As the only person sure of herself.
That you dress not of prejudices nor labels,
that you dress of optimism, of good will, of self-love.
Because you are a human being.
It is worth making mistakes, it is worth making mistakes.
And through the words of one of the women that I admire so much,
Simone de Beauvoir, that you saw in the previous image,
I want to tell you that you love with all your strength, not with your weakness.
Do not run away from yourself, find yourself.
Do not humiliate yourself, never do it.
Affirm yourself, and that day, love will become the source of your life, of your fullness,
of your performance as a person individually.
That you do not need to be standing there waiting for recognition from someone else.
Do not wait for someone else’s crumbs, because it’s not worth it.
That does not take you anywhere.
On the contrary, acknowledge yourself because love is a source of light.
Love is never going to be a mortal danger.
Thank you.
