Alper is autism.
Autism, which starts before the age of three, prevents the brain from developing,
a lifelong mental discomfort.
Autistic children are much more difficult to learn than non-autistic children.
To teach a child who memorizes a song in a song, a letter in the alphabet,
more than once, can take a year longer.
Attention periods are too short. Anything, especially education,
they can not focus for more than five minutes.
Although they are physically the same, there are physical behavioral disorders.
Sometimes, for example, to look at a continuously rotating washing machine
or playing with the same toy

most of the time it will harm them,
they can also be seen as hitting or shouting at them.
Eighty percent of autistic children are in a long period of their lives;

gave me a great inspiration.
Five years ago, when I bought my first smartphone,
I noticed the intense interest of my brother in smart devices.
The child who can not speak then, illiterate,
I can use my smartphone, just memorize

or trying to communicate with me with the photos.
At that moment, I was getting my brother a tablet and I intended to train him with tablet computers.
But now I had a bigger problem.
There were no applications developed for children with autism.
Applications developed for normal children are either too difficult for them
or they could have the implications that could harm them.
Inspiration from Alper, it’s time for a mobile gaming company
While working as a computer engineer,
I resigned from my job and together with my friend Sercan from ODTÜ,
We created OTSIMO.
OTSIMO, children with autism
and a free mobile application developed for families.
In children’s practice, developed for children,
There are dozens of different educational games.
With the cooperation of the Tohum Autism Foundation, these specialists
we are designing them for their needs.
We are collecting data from every game in Otsimo.
Understand what children are having difficulty with and artificial intelligence for them
we are taking automatic suggestions.
For example, a child who can not draw the letter A drops the game difficulty,
We are starting to show the letter A more.
In family practice, parents can access all the information about their children
for example, seeing their carnets in the analysis section and seeing what they are missing
they can shape their training accordingly.
We also aim to train parents in the education department.
In this regard, we want families to play an active role in the education of autism.

So why are we trying to train children with smart devices?
We know that research shows that if we give chance to autistic children,
If they can get early and intensive training, ninety percent of these children
can read in the same school with us,
we can live the same life as ours and be in the same environment with us.
Our goal, this missing 38 hours of training,
to educate their families at home with the help of intelligent devices.
Shortly after a year,
we delivered more than ten children with over one hundred thousand hours of training.
Children with autism who suffer from communication difficulties,
Through OTSIMO practice, they spoke more than three hundred words.
Baran, whom you see behind me, is one of them.
Baran is from the first users of OTSIMO.
It was actually a two-hour training course for a year and a half before OTSIMO.
Only using OTSİMO for two months, Baran is now admitted to a public school
and can study at the same school with their friends, at the same school as their peers.
For me, too,
I’m starting to change things in my brother’s life.
I designed the training materials with him, I experienced it with him,
I learned with him.
My purpose today is to come here,
tell you what data you can find on the internet about autism,
nor did we actually tell what we did in OTSIMO.

I came to create a change together.
The school you saw behind me was the school where ten autistic children read with my brother.
They learn to swim in the pool,

I was in the school, I say they could do it because it was only autism,
because they found them different, people around them, leaving them to this building,
leaving this school forced to leave.
Now they can not access many of these possibilities.
