OSHO: There Is No Creator

OSHO Talks: Silence shared with words

OSHO International Foundation presents:

There is no Creator

You have fun.

Let me take some of your statements

shown in the press,

those in which you say that there is no god –

or at least that is what is in the headlines: “There is no God”

Could you tell us more about that?

Do you say that there is no god

outside the creation itself?

Certainly I say

that there is no creator.

The creation itself

is sufficient in itself,

it has no outside intervention

needed to create it.

The moment when you have an outside intervention

accepts to create it,

are you going to walk in a circle.

Because the reasoning is:

how can it exist

without being created by someone?

That is the reasoning of all religions.

If you accept their reasoning,

the question comes up:

Who created the god?

And if god can be there without being created,

Then what is the problem?

Then there can also be the existence

without being created.

You accept in principle

that there can be something that has not been created.

So why go unnecessarily from A to B,

from B to C?

And these are all assumptions.

God A creates god B,

god B creates god C,

unnecessary.

The whole theology is just nonsense.

It starts with god;

‘theo’ means god,

and ‘logy’ means logic about god.

That contradicts itself.

So the creation itself is god …

we are god, you are god, I am god,

everyone here is god …

… the whole game is god … of course.

Yes, if you want to use the word god. That is not a problem for me …

I am very familiar with it.

But you will have to change the meaning,

because the donkey will also be god,

even the Yankee will be god.

It is better to drop that word

because that word is dangerous.

Sometimes when you

riding a donkey, you ride a god.

Sometimes you are …

I think the power that gives us life, or whatever it is, the energy …

I would like it

to call pure consciousness.

Just awareness.

Or, if you are too attached to the word god,

call it divinity.

But do not make a noun.

Make it a quality.

Divinity is perfectly in order.

Why do you say: “Do you prefer a quality rather than a noun?”

Because, at the time you make it a noun,

you kill it.

The moment you make it a noun,

you stop the growth.

Nouns do not grow,

only verbs grow.
