English Pronunciation Training | Improve Your Accent & Speak Clearly

Hi! Hello everyone! I know you all want to be super

Improve your English pronunciation. Want obvious results

Just two steps. First, find a native English speaker to help you (that’s me);

Second, use a magical auxiliary tool, the International Phonetic Alphabet, or IPA for short.

International

Phonetic transcription form. what? (Don’t you know this tool?)

Okay, (don’t worry) I would also like to tell you one by one, anyway.

Immediately talked about:

In the pronunciation rules of many languages, each (pronunciation) phonetic symbol

Only corresponds to one letter or syllable. So it’s easy to see the word spelling of a word

Spell out the pronunciation of the word.

However, English pronunciation rules are not the same.

No, no, no, oh (important things say three times).

The same English alphabet

The pronunciation is different in different words.

Take the letter “C” for example,

The pronunciation in the word “cup” is “K”.

But the pronunciation in the word “place” is not the same, it sends “s”.

When the letter “C” and the letter “H” are together,

Its pronunciation becomes “”, like the word “chocolate.”

However, the pronunciation of the letter C in the word “ache” has become similar to the “K” sound again.

what! (Is it too crazy?) So say,

The International Phonetic Alphabet is simply

A learning aid for learners of English, especially in pronunciation.

In the English phonetics class,

I insist on using it as my teaching aid

In the IPA (International Phonetic Alphabet), each syllable

There is a corresponding unique pronunciation symbol.

(As long as you learn these pronunciation symbols) you can

Probably spell out the pronunciation of an English word (even a new word)

For example: the words “though”, “thought” and “cough” (cough)

They all have the same syllable “ough” but

The actual pronunciation of the three words is very different.

See the pronunciation symbol,

Did you feel that the scalp was a bit numb, like watching the Bible?

Especially those students who did not understand this IPA before.

In fact, the learning stage.

IPA is a very useful learning aid, especially in English (voice) beginners.

Because of it, you know the exact pronunciation of the word.

So, even if you have never learned these pronunciation symbols before

Don’t worry too much. Today’s course

I will take you one by one to know them.

Now let’s look at the on-screen International Phonetic Alphabet. There are 26 English letters, right?

However, there are 44 pronunciation signs in English.

More than a lot of letters.

This is why I insist on using IPA

To help my students learn English pronunciation.

Let us first look at the vowel:

There are 5 vowels in English, right?

However, the pronunciation of English vowels is much larger than it is.

Some are long vowels,

Some are short vowels, others are lazy and they sound very light.

Let’s read it together.

There is another set of vowels called double vowels.

Don’t worry about how to remember their names first.

You just have to remember their pronunciation.

The double vowel is made up of two vowels, and its pronunciation is

Slide from the first vowel to the second vowel.

Please pay attention to the change of mouth shape when I read every syllable

Well, we learned vowels and double vowels.

Now let’s look at consonants.

The first row on the consonant phonetic table is all clear consonants.

The so-called clear consonant sound is the pronunciation

Air flow from the mouth through the lips.

And the letter “h” is also a clear consonant,

It is in the lower left corner of the table.

The rest are all voiced consonants.

Voiced consonants mean: sound from the throat (vocal cords)

Sent, here you can feel (vibration of vocal cords).

The pronunciation of Qing Consonant sounds only depends on the air and the vocal cords do not vibrate

You cannot feel the vibration of the throat (vocal cord)

Today’s class is here first.
