The greatest people are self-management.
They do not need to be managed.
If they know –
Once you know what to do,
And they’ll go figure out how I do it,
And they do not need to be run at all.
What they need is a common vision,
That’s what leadership is.
The meaning of leadership is a vision,
Be able to express that people around you can understand it,
And get consensus on a common vision.
We wanted the people who with great madness in what they did,
But they were not necessarily those veteran professionals,
But who was in the tips of their fingers
Their last passion was understanding where the technology was
And what can we do with this technology,
We wanted to bring that to many people.
Even the most brilliant thing happens
When you get a basic set of, you know, ten great people,
It becomes self-censorship as to who allowed that group.
So I see that the most important job someone like me is recruiting.
We were tormented during recruitment.
We had interviews.
I would go back and take a look at some of the interviews again.
They start at 9:00 or 10:00 in the morning and go through dinner.
A new guest would speak to everyone in the building at least once
Perhaps a few times,
Then I go back for another round of interviews,
And then we’ll get it all together and talk about it.
Then they want to fill out the application.

No, the request was not filled.
An important part of the interview, at least in my opinion,
When we finally decided we liked them enough

If it were just a kind of boredom, or said “This is a nice computer”
We did not want them.

We are going to be a great company, let’s hire a professional management.
We went out and hired a group of management – professional
It does not work at all.
Most of them were bozos.
They knew how to manage,
But she did not know how to do anything!
Thus, if you are a great person,
Why do you want to work for someone you can not learn anything from?
You know what is interesting,
You know who the best managers are?
They are great shareholders,
Who have never wanted to be a manager,
But decide they must be a manager
Because no one else is going to be able to do good as a job to them.
