heartstrings just a few weeks ago I had
heartstrings just a few weeks ago I had a teenage girl actually personally pull
a teenage girl actually personally pull
a teenage girl actually personally pull me aside because she was a bit
me aside because she was a bit

embarrassed to go up to some of our
embarrassed to go up to some of our older volunteers and she told me that
older volunteers and she told me that

gym class and just to where in general
gym class and just to where in general she only had tank tops and she didn’t
she only had tank tops and she didn’t
she only had tank tops and she didn’t have any bras and so she was really

story I just had my heart breaking because I feel like that’s such a
because I feel like that’s such a
because I feel like that’s such a necessity and then to not have that as a
necessity and then to not have that as a
necessity and then to not have that as a teenage girl we made sure that we were
teenage girl we made sure that we were
teenage girl we made sure that we were able to provide that and so much more
able to provide that and so much more
able to provide that and so much more for her and her family and just making
for her and her family and just making
for her and her family and just making sure that she can keep her dignity
sure that she can keep her dignity
sure that she can keep her dignity during these tough times it’s such a
during these tough times it’s such a
during these tough times it’s such a basic thing a lot of the services that
basic thing a lot of the services that
basic thing a lot of the services that we put out clothing food these are
we put out clothing food these are
we put out clothing food these are things that we don’t even think twice
things that we don’t even think twice
things that we don’t even think twice about but then as I talked to these
about but then as I talked to these
about but then as I talked to these clients it brings me back to that place
clients it brings me back to that place
clients it brings me back to that place when I was younger and I just start
when I was younger and I just start
when I was younger and I just start thinking of all those memories from when
thinking of all those memories from when
thinking of all those memories from when I was a child and my family was going
I was a child and my family was going
I was a child and my family was going through that I think what impacted me
through that I think what impacted me
through that I think what impacted me the most about this girl was how her
the most about this girl was how her
the most about this girl was how her schooling was being affected you know
schooling was being affected you know
schooling was being affected you know she didn’t want to go to school and she
she didn’t want to go to school and she
she didn’t want to go to school and she didn’t want to go to her gym class
didn’t want to go to her gym class
didn’t want to go to her gym class because for the bullying that was going
because for the bullying that was going
because for the bullying that was going on and so in the end of course we made
on and so in the end of course we made
on and so in the end of course we made sure that angels of God was able to
sure that angels of God was able to
sure that angels of God was able to provide bras and clothing and all of
provide bras and clothing and all of
provide bras and clothing and all of that necessities to her another instance
that necessities to her another instance
that necessities to her another instance again where education was affected was a
again where education was affected was a
again where education was affected was a 14 year old girl she had emailed me and
14 year old girl she had emailed me and
14 year old girl she had emailed me and she was living in the local area where
she was living in the local area where

month she pretends to be sick because she doesn’t have access to pads
because she doesn’t have access to pads
because she doesn’t have access to pads and tampons and so every month when she
and tampons and so every month when she
and tampons and so every month when she gets her period she’s too embarrassed to
gets her period she’s too embarrassed to
gets her period she’s too embarrassed to tell anyone and unfortunately her
tell anyone and unfortunately her
tell anyone and unfortunately her parents weren’t providing it they didn’t
parents weren’t providing it they didn’t
parents weren’t providing it they didn’t have the financial means to provide it
have the financial means to provide it
have the financial means to provide it and so again we reached out and we made
and so again we reached out and we made
and so again we reached out and we made sure that she was able to get those
sure that she was able to get those
sure that she was able to get those feminine products because again that’s
feminine products because again that’s
feminine products because again that’s something that’s super important and so
