00:00:20understand how you actually earn your
00:00:22income I never bought anything from you
00:00:25and you don’t seem to be selling
00:00:26anything in your posts what do you
00:00:28actually do for a living I would
00:00:30appreciate a reply with guards Mary so
00:00:33thanks for the question Mary I have a
00:00:34hard enough time explaining to friends
00:00:36and people I meet what I do too so I’ll
00:00:38do my best here of this video how I
00:00:40started was I really like helping
00:00:43entrepreneurs that’s why I said on my
00:00:44website I started by profiling famous
00:00:47entrepreneurs and lessons that you can
00:00:48learn from them because that’s what I
00:00:50found inspiration I find it really
00:00:52helpful for me and I wanted to share
00:00:54that with other entrepreneurs I started
00:00:56doing these videos because people had a
00:00:57lot of questions and I thought other
00:00:59people could benefit from having some
00:01:01video content as well where I answered
00:01:02it so it all started around me wanting
00:01:05to help entrepreneurs that was really my
00:01:07passion and I really believe if you
00:01:09follow what you’re really passionate
00:01:10about it then you add a ton of value and
00:01:12you’re really helpful then success will
00:01:14follow you so for me how I make money
00:01:17with my site now is mostly advertising
00:01:20that sponsorship so if you click on any
00:01:22of the articles that I have on the side
00:01:24you’ll probably see an ad somewhere on
00:01:26the site also we tend to partner up with
00:01:29organizations who are trying to reach
00:01:31the entrepreneur community and they
00:01:33might sponsor a section of the website
00:01:35but I try not to be too blatant about
00:01:38that and it’s not overwhelming and I
00:01:40don’t
00:01:40you have promos and a newsletter most
00:01:43places on the website I experimented a
00:01:46lot with different business models I
00:01:47looked at the affiliate marketing model
00:01:49for a while or that’s basically what
00:01:51you’re selling somebody else’s product
00:01:53and it has a hard time getting the value
00:01:57out of that and putting my name behind
00:01:59it you know I could maybe make a lot of
00:02:01money I could pitch somebody’s probably
00:02:03say hey this is the greatest thing ever
00:02:04you know Mary I think you should buy
00:02:05this product as it’s fantastic but if I
00:02:08haven’t used it and I haven’t found
00:02:10benefit in it then I don’t want you
00:02:12buying some info product and maybe I
00:02:14make a good Commission off of it but
00:02:16then you find out that it’s a junky
00:02:18product and say oh let up as a douche
00:02:20bag for recommending it and then you’re
00:02:22never going to come back and visit my
00:02:23website and that’s not the relationship
00:02:26that I want to build so I want to try to
00:02:28promote things that I actually use and
00:02:31enjoy find value in so I didn’t have a
00:02:34lot of success with the affiliate
00:02:35marketing model I did create my own
00:02:39business planning product so I had a
00:02:41hard time finding good business plan
00:02:43products so I started my own so this is
00:02:45one product that we do sell but mostly
00:02:48my rep you comes from advertising
00:02:49sponsorship and it all started from me
00:02:52not not trying to go out and make a lot
00:02:55of money doing advertising sponsorship
00:02:56but trying to help entrepreneurs and
00:02:58answer their questions and help them
00:03:00grow their business and follow my
00:03:02passions that’s what I really enjoy so I
