00:00:12another edition of ask Evan in today’s
00:00:14video I’m going to answer questions from
00:00:15one of my youtube viewers wats cabana
00:00:18boy who wrote in I have a waxing
00:00:20business and have no money for
00:00:22advertising I mainly use postcards and
00:00:24current clients do you have any ideas
00:00:26for this type of business so it’s a
00:00:28service-based business which is great a
00:00:30lot of entren or set up in the service
00:00:32industry I think for you your best
00:00:34opportunity will come from current
00:00:36clients and over delivering so when you
00:00:39start off your business it can be priced
00:00:41competitively you want to make sure you
00:00:42can attract people to come to the
00:00:44business and maybe you do your post our
00:00:45campaigns and you know partner up with
00:00:48other businesses maybe get a little bit
00:00:49of media attention to get people into
00:00:51the store but your best bet of growing
00:00:53the business will be getting the
00:00:55customers who do come in to come back
00:00:57and to refer their friends and how this
00:01:00happens is by what we’re delivering so
00:01:02whatever you can do think of ways to add
00:01:04as much value as you can to that
00:01:06experience so that they can’t wait to
00:01:08come back and tell their friends about
00:01:10it as well so quick example from my own
00:01:12experience hopefully can help you I have
00:01:15a service as well and I work with a lot
00:01:16of brains who are trying to target the
00:01:19entrepreneur community and i’ll create
00:01:20content for them so as an example one
00:01:23client hired me to write 300 to 500
00:01:25words for their block and there was a
00:01:28great gig so i started doing that but i
00:01:31want more than just the 300 to 500 words
00:01:33and i’ll often write 1500 words so three
00:01:36times more than what they expected and
00:01:38then i’ll help promote it so I’ll tell
00:01:40my newsletter list about it they’ll do a
00:01:41YouTube video about it I’ll put it in my
00:01:43forms and put it on Twitter and Facebook
00:01:45and drive people to that post as well
00:01:47and not a lot more value than what they
00:01:50expected of just somebody writing a post
00:01:52for them and as a result they want to
00:01:54keep doing work with me and then they
00:01:56tell other companies that they were
00:01:58partnered up with and other people see
00:02:00the results of it and I end up having a
00:02:02lot more business on my hand and as you
00:02:05start getting more people coming into
00:02:07your business because they see what
00:02:08great service you’re providing you can
00:02:10then start
00:02:11increase your price as service-based
00:02:12business you’re always going to be
00:02:14limited by how much time you have right
00:02:15there’s only so many hours in a day when
00:02:17you can operate your company and you can
00:02:19expand by bringing new people on but
00:02:21also your own personal time you start
00:02:23changing the price you start increasing
00:02:25the price because you’re adding a lot
00:02:26more value than just the ordinary person
00:02:29who is starting up their new company so
00:02:31I hope that helps I give the biggest way
00:02:34I think you’re going to be able to grow
00:02:35that business is again over deliver so I
00:02:37don’t know too much with the waxing
00:02:38business but think about anything you
00:02:40can do to add as much value as you can
00:02:42and make people love coming to see you I
00:02:44want to come back and refer their
00:02:45friends it’s going to be your best bet
