00:00:05to cut the ends of your pants properly
00:00:07now if you’re a woman and you like to
00:00:10buy pants your average height or shorter
00:00:11than average you probably know what I’m
00:00:13talking about see pair of pants you love
00:00:16try them on and they fit great around
00:00:18the hips waist and even thighs but when
00:00:20it comes down to the length it’s just
00:00:21too long you don’t want to ruin the
00:00:23style of it but you’re not sure how to
00:00:25go about cutting it short I’m going to
00:00:27be showing you how to do that for jeans
00:00:29and dress pants both from the inside as
00:00:31well as from the outside so we’re going
00:00:34to start off with the jeans and how to
00:00:36fold them over from the inside now
00:00:38normally for jeans you need to cut off
00:00:40to the six inches so this is how you do
00:00:43it first of all these jeans need to be
00:00:45got four inches so what you do is you
00:00:47take your ruler make sure it’s marked at
00:00:49four inches like so and then you draw a
00:00:52line right next to four inch spot then
00:00:55you go down halfway to the two inches
00:00:56I’m mark another line now you do this
00:00:58all the way around the circumference of
00:01:00the jeans because you want to make sure
00:01:01it’s equal all the way around obviously
00:01:03you don’t want a longer and shorter one
00:01:05side on the other now when you’re done
00:01:07with that you’re going to fold the ends
00:01:09just at the first line that you made
00:01:11like so now it should meet the second
00:01:14line that you did when you fold it over
00:01:16but you’re going to fold it over one
00:01:18more time
00:01:19so once you get to this part all you
00:01:22really have to do is double check make
00:01:24sure it really is equal on all sides
00:01:26because it can get fold it over a little
00:01:29messed up if you don’t do it properly
00:01:30then you take your needle simply pin it
00:01:33down and just pin it down all the way
00:01:35around as well then you just put into
00:01:37your sewing machine and you make a line
00:01:39at the bottom to make sure that it’s
00:01:42sewn down and another line just on top
00:01:45of it about half centimeter 21
00:01:47centimeter above it and then voila you
00:01:49turn your jeans back inside out and they
00:01:51should be perfectly fine now if you want
00:01:53to cut your jeans so that it folds over
00:01:55from the outside the really cool thing
00:01:57about it is that if you have a lot to
00:01:59cut off like about six inches or so you
00:02:01can really choose how much of the length
00:02:03you want to keep on the outside I’ll
00:02:05give you an example so over here we’ve
00:02:08got a lot of extra material let’s just
00:02:10say you want to fold it over yet about
00:02:12six inches and I’m not measuring I’m
00:02:14just giving you an example how high it
00:02:17could be in length now if you had this
00:02:20much you could keep it this way so you
00:02:22have a thick length from the outside but
00:02:26if you want it less than that because
00:02:27you have the excess material you have
00:02:29the choice to simply fold this over like
00:02:32that and then sew it down so you can
00:02:35really play around and choose how you
00:02:36want to style your pants
