00:00:03Chantry and today I’ll be talking a
00:00:05little bit about acting and the three
00:00:08most important misconceptions of acting
00:00:11first one I would say is that most
00:00:13people think it’s pretending really it
00:00:17comes from a truthful place you are
00:00:19playing a character in a different
00:00:20situation yes it may be in a different
00:00:22time but because you were playing that
00:00:24character everything has to come from
00:00:26within everything has to come from
00:00:28somewhere truthful so for example if you
00:00:31need to be angry you can’t just play the
00:00:34anger you act play why you’re angry
00:00:36where it comes from and that anger is
00:00:38really truthful that’s why a lot of
00:00:41actors have sort of like calm down and
00:00:43breathe and be themselves afterwards
00:00:45because they’re such in a moment one
00:00:50kids play they they themselves believe
00:00:55that for example there they’re being
00:00:57pirates but in their head they are
00:00:59really pirates and they’re committed to
00:01:01those characters and when they speak
00:01:03with their parents for example they
00:01:04still keep that character of being
00:01:06pirates and that’s what really is is
00:01:08just acting is just being committed to a
00:01:11situation to a character
