00:00:17prey to of the Predators including their

00:00:29but normally they don’t prey on humans
00:00:32so why would an alligator attack a woman
00:00:37yo Vee Jimenez is fatal encounter
00:00:40is the first ever by an alligator in the
00:00:42Fort Lauderdale area the attacks shocked
00:00:46the community only 17 people have been
00:00:50killed by alligators in the last half
00:00:52century
00:00:57but before authorities can make sense of
00:01:00the attack

00:01:04this time just north of Tampa Bay Fred
00:01:10ferderbar lives on the bank of a small
00:01:12suburban canal my wife saw what appeared
00:01:18to be a pair of pants floating in the
00:01:21water right out of her kitchen window
00:01:22about one o’clock on Saturday I didn’t
00:01:27think anything of it but the next
00:01:29morning on Mother’s Day an unsettling
00:01:32discovery was moments away my wife was
00:01:36still sleeping and so were the kids I
00:01:37went to the street to get the paper and
00:01:39Bailey the dog that I’m watching bolted
00:01:42to the backyard as a whole better to
00:01:46make sure he’s okay so I ran to the
00:01:47backyard the dog had led Fred back to
00:01:51the canal
00:01:55and I looked at it I said well that
00:01:56looks like a pair a pants floating in
00:01:59the water and then just something
00:02:02clicked
00:02:03that’s not what it appears to be so I
00:02:05ran up to the house and I’m screaming at
00:02:07my wife get up get up get up there’s
00:02:09something in the pond I think it’s a
00:02:12body she put the gun up and ran down the
00:02:16thing and she said oh no those are the
00:02:17pants I saw by those trees oh and then
00:02:21they’re her sneaker kind of just raised
00:02:23about water
00:02:26that’s it all man that’s not that’s
00:02:29somebody’s body
00:02:33how did this person end up and Fred for
00:02:36der burrs backyard Canal authorities
00:02:40determined the body belongs to 43 year
00:02:43old Judy Cooper
00:02:46like yo Vee Jimenez severe bite marks to
00:02:50Judy’s remains also show that an
00:02:52alligator was involved
00:02:58incredibly two women seem to have fallen
00:03:01victim to alligators just within days of
00:03:04each other
00:03:06the odds are astonishing lethal attacks
00:03:11are extremely rare but then on the same
00:03:15day a third victim
