this or not but in my day we had to write letters or get letters of

write letters or get letters of

write letters or get letters of recommendation to submit to colleges so

recommendation to submit to colleges so

recommendation to submit to colleges so in my day we needed three so I asked one

in my day we needed three so I asked one

in my day we needed three so I asked one of my teachers Nelson camp to write one

of my teachers Nelson camp to write one

of my teachers Nelson camp to write one for me and in it he wrote Chris has the

for me and in it he wrote Chris has the

for me and in it he wrote Chris has the natural ability to connect Chris shows

natural ability to connect Chris shows

natural ability to connect Chris shows natural ability for empathy and has the

natural ability for empathy and has the

natural ability for empathy and has the ability to connect and feel for others

ability to connect and feel for others

ability to connect and feel for others and I had no idea what he meant and in

and I had no idea what he meant and in

and I had no idea what he meant and in fact I don’t even think I had heard the

fact I don’t even think I had heard the

fact I don’t even think I had heard the word empathy before but I felt very

word empathy before but I felt very

word empathy before but I felt very honored and it sounded very adult-like

honored and it sounded very adult-like

honored and it sounded very adult-like so I took it and I spent the next 30

so I took it and I spent the next 30

so I took it and I spent the next 30 years trying to figure out what it all

years trying to figure out what it all

years trying to figure out what it all meant but I finally have a handle on it

meant but I finally have a handle on it

meant but I finally have a handle on it empathy and by result compassion is the

empathy and by result compassion is the

empathy and by result compassion is the emotional connection to someone else’s

emotional connection to someone else’s

emotional connection to someone else’s problem and thereby a drive to find a

problem and thereby a drive to find a

problem and thereby a drive to find a solution problem solution

solution problem solution

solution problem solution growing up I was always the problem

growing up I was always the problem

growing up I was always the problem child in my family one of six middle

child in my family one of six middle

child in my family one of six middle child same astrological sign as my

child same astrological sign as my

child same astrological sign as my father you get the picture

father you get the picture

father you get the picture I was constantly in trouble and it

I was constantly in trouble and it

I was constantly in trouble and it usually revolved around me doing the

usually revolved around me doing the

usually revolved around me doing the things that my father asked me not to do

things that my father asked me not to do

things that my father asked me not to do on many occasions he’d say just how

on many occasions he’d say just how

on many occasions he’d say just how stubborn he thought I was hard-headed I

stubborn he thought I was hard-headed I

stubborn he thought I was hard-headed I think was the term and then if I

think was the term and then if I

think was the term and then if I continue down this path I’d have a very

continue down this path I’d have a very

continue down this path I’d have a very hard life in front of me and well you

hard life in front of me and well you

hard life in front of me and well you guessed it he was right

guessed it he was right

guessed it he was right the misconception about being the

the misconception about being the

the misconception about being the problem child is that you are far from

problem child is that you are far from

problem child is that you are far from the problem

the problem

the problem the issue is typically about wanting to

the issue is typically about wanting to

the issue is typically about wanting to be someone other than the role you’ve

be someone other than the role you’ve

be someone other than the role you’ve been given to play I was acting out

been given to play I was acting out

been given to play I was acting out that’s for sure but I wanted to be

that’s for sure but I wanted to be noticed for who I was without a clue on

noticed for who I was without a clue on

noticed for who I was without a clue on how to get there

how to get there

how to get there I was trying to be someone else and I

I was trying to be someone else and I

I was trying to be someone else and I didn’t have the tools to know how to do

didn’t have the tools to know how to do

didn’t have the tools to know how to do it

and so as time went on I got more and

and so as time went on I got more and more defeated

more defeated

more defeated more and more reserved and more and more

more and more reserved and more and more

more and more reserved and more and more angry

angry

angry and it all became this sort of

and it all became this sort of

and it all became this sort of self-fulfilling prophecy

self-fulfilling prophecy

self-fulfilling prophecy that I was that problem child just now

that I was that problem child just now

that I was that problem child just now lost and what I presumed to be depressed
