00:00:44you can smell when things are going

00:00:45wrong when things are catching you can

00:00:47hear when things are burning and you

00:00:50know try and grow some eyes in the back

00:01:13filmed 40 of those for the TV series

00:01:15they’re going to go out like a month

00:01:17blog in England anyway going towards

00:01:20Christmas and a month block in spring me

00:01:23and all of my team have learnt a lot

00:01:25from doing this series about

00:01:26organization choices about sort of

00:01:30almost having sort of pockets of types

00:01:33of dinner like you know there’s a

00:01:34one-hour dinner now there’s like a

00:01:3630-minute dinner now there’s even a

00:01:3810-minute dinner now and then there’s

00:01:40the weekend sort of two-hour chill out

00:01:42have a couple of drinks sort of epic big

00:01:43roast kind of dinner family cooking so

00:01:46it’s funny I mean we’re experienced

00:01:47cooks but it’s made us really focus on

00:01:49what’s dinner or lunch gonna be like

00:01:51today well what’s the remit okay you’ve

00:01:54got 20 minutes okay you know so it’s I

00:01:57think yeah I think we’re just lean mean

00:02:00fast cooking machines now and we could

00:02:02always do it fast

00:02:03but 30-minute meals the genius of it

00:02:05isn’t just blasting stuff out a lot of

00:02:07thought has gone into it a lot of

00:02:09thought about what’s available in

00:02:10supermarkets down the market

00:02:12a lot of thought has gone into you know

00:02:15how you stagger food stagger dishes in a

00:02:17meal so that actually you end up at the

00:02:20end of 30 minutes with everything in the

00:02:22best possible Nick so yeah it’s been a

00:02:25real learning curve actually unknowingly

00:02:26I didn’t think I’d learn anything from

00:02:28this but but we have we’ve cooked so

00:02:32much food in the last couple of weeks

00:02:34that I’m drunk on 30-minute meals like

00:02:36honestly I don’t even know where I am

00:02:39anymore I’ve cooked so much you wouldn’t

00:02:41believe we’re on the with just some two

00:02:43meals today and the last two that we did

00:02:46were pretty epic

00:02:47one was piri piri chicken which was

00:02:49really good with a fantastic noodle

00:02:52salad and little Portuguese caramel tart

00:02:54you got to check that baby out and then

00:02:57this morning we cooked satay chicken

00:03:00skewers which was absolutely brilliant

00:03:02homemade satay sauce like it just made

00:03:05the stuff that I’ve tried before taste

00:03:06so bad so yeah they’re good ones but

00:03:09we’ve done all sorts with on stir fries

00:03:10we’ve done sort of we did a classic

00:03:12roast beef dinner in 30 minutes though

00:03:15you’ve got to see that one that that

00:03:16that took some thought to do that and

00:03:18the nice thing about the food is

00:03:20literally whether you’re cooked the cook

00:03:21or not cook you can achieve what I’m

00:03:24achieving 30 minutes you just got to do

00:03:26what you’re told so when you read the

00:03:28recipe just do what it says and trust me

00:03:31and you’ll end up with the right thing

00:03:32but if you start freestyling it but it’s

00:03:36it could go anywhere
